Standard amounts and rules
- 2026: the standard deductible is $615 and covered drug costs are capped at $2,100.[1]
- 2027: CMS set the standard deductible at $700 and the cap at $2,400.[2]
- The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan has no cost to join; it spreads payments but does not lower them.[3]
- People with type 2 diabetes are not eligible for the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge; their Part D plan might cover the GLP-1.[4]
- From July 1, 2026 the Bridge covers Zepbound KwikPen, not Mounjaro, for eligible weight-only use, at $50 for a one-month supply.[4]
