Label rules to check your routine against
- Xarelto 15 mg and 20 mg are taken with food; 2.5 mg and 10 mg can be taken with or without food.[1]
- Fasted, a 20 mg tablet is about 66% absorbed; with food, total exposure rises 39%.[1]
- Missed once-daily dose: take it immediately, and never double the dose within the same day.[1]
- Creatinine clearance is calculated from actual weight; for atrial fibrillation the dose is 20 mg above 50 mL/min and 15 mg at 50 or below.[1]
- On Wegovy, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting may cause dehydration that may cause kidney problems.[2]
Call your doctor or get medical help right away
- Bleeding that is unexpected or lasts a long time; red, pink or brown urine; bright red or black, tar-like stools; coughing up blood; vomit with blood or that looks like coffee grounds.[1]
- Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea that does not go away: tell your healthcare provider right away.[2]
