Couple's NMN or NR check-in sheet: weekly notes and questions for a clinician

For couples where one or both partners try NMN or NR: agree what you are hoping for and when you will review it, keep a short weekly note of energy, sleep and intimacy, and take the questions to an appointment if things do not change.

What the cited studies measured

  • In adults aged 40 to 65 taking NMN, self-rated general health on the SF-36 improved more than on placebo in every NMN group by day 60.[1]
  • In a 14-day diary study of 171 women, each extra hour of sleep went with 14% higher odds of partnered sexual activity; this is an association, not an NMN result.[2]

Questions for a clinician

  1. Could tiredness or low desire have a medical cause worth checking first?
  2. Do any of our medicines interact with NMN or NR?
  3. Would a sleep evaluation help, given our sleep notes?
  4. If neither of us notices a change by the review date, is there a reason to continue?
  5. Would couples counselling or sex therapy address this better than a supplement?
