Label rules to plan around
- Weight check for adults: if you have not lost at least 4% of your starting weight 16 weeks after starting, the label says to stop.[1]
- Restart after more than 3 days off: begin again at 0.6 mg daily and step up weekly to 3 mg.[1]
- A single missed dose: take the next scheduled dose; no extra dose to make up.[1]
- Liraglutide's half-life is 13 hours.[1]
- When pregnancy is recognized, stop liraglutide.[1]
- In the trials, nausea led 2.9% to stop liraglutide (0.2% on placebo).[1]
Weekly check after the last dose
| Week off | Weight | Hunger (0 to 10) | Blood glucose or HbA1c if checked | Blood pressure | Notes |

If you are still injecting

Before the last injection
- Is stopping, switching or staying on a lower plan the better choice for me?
- Which labs should be repeated after I stop, and when?
- If I want to restart later, who will set the new start date and dose?
- If I have diabetes, what replaces liraglutide for my blood sugar?
