The label's pharmacokinetics in plain terms

  • Peak level 1 to 3 days after each injection; absolute bioavailability 89%.[1]
  • Steady state after 4 to 5 weeks of weekly injections.[1]
  • Present in the circulation for about 5 weeks after the last dose; half-life about 1 week.[1]
  • Missed dose: take it within 5 days; after that, skip it and inject on the usual day.[1]
  • No dose adjustment for kidney or liver impairment.[1]
  • Exposure falls as body weight rises, but 0.5 mg and 1 mg gave adequate exposure from 40 to 198 kg.[1]
