- A missed dose can be taken within 5 days; after more than 5 days, skip it and inject on the regular day.[1]
- When moving the injection day, keep doses at least 2 days (more than 48 hours) apart.[1]
- Stop Ozempic at least 2 months before a planned pregnancy.[1]
- A birth control pill (ethinylestradiol with levonorgestrel) was among the medicines tested with semaglutide; no clinically relevant interaction was seen and no dose change is required.[1]
- Pens: the 2 mg/3 mL pen gives 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg doses, the 4 mg/3 mL pen gives 1 mg doses, and the 8 mg/3 mL pen gives 2 mg doses.[1]
Stop and get medical help for
- Severe stomach pain that will not go away, sometimes spreading to the back, with or without vomiting.[1]
- Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, trouble breathing or swallowing, or fainting.[1]
