My Zepbound results report: dose steps, weight and interruptions
Keep your own monthly record of dose, weight and missed doses, then read it against the SURMOUNT-1 benchmarks rather than against posts. It ends with questions to bring when your results look better or worse than you expected.
Starting point
Date of first injection
Starting weight
Height, or BMI at the start
Goal agreed with your prescriber
Month-by-month results
Percent change = (starting weight minus today's weight) divided by starting weight, times 100.
| Month | Dose (mg) | Weight | % change from start | Doses missed or late | Side effects that month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Trial benchmarks to read your numbers against
- In SURMOUNT-1, 85% to 91% of people on tirzepatide lost at least 5% by week 72, against 35% on placebo.[1]
- On 15 mg, 57% lost 20% or more by week 72; on 10 mg, 50% did.[1]
- SURMOUNT-1 enrolled people without diabetes, so its numbers are not a benchmark for type 2 diabetes.[1]
- In SURMOUNT-1 participants with prediabetes assigned to 176 weeks of treatment, mean weight fell 12.3% to 19.7% depending on dose, against 1.3% on placebo.[2]
- In a UK digital service, the 27% who stayed adherent for 12 months lost 22.60% on average; everyone enrolled averaged 13.62%.[3]
Before comparing yourself with a review
- The reviewer's dose and how long they had been on it
- Whether they have type 2 diabetes
- Whether doses were missed for supply, coverage or side effects
- Pounds lost or percent of starting weight
- When the post was written and whether it was updated
For your prescriber
- Is my rate of loss what you would expect on this dose?
- Would another dose step change anything, or is this the expected slowing?
- Which side effects should change the plan?
- What do we do if coverage or supply interrupts my doses?
