Mounjaro vomiting diary: days after each injection, fluids and dose steps
Log each day with vomiting against the day of your weekly injection and your current dose step, with how much fluid you kept down and any signs of dehydration. Bring it to the call before the next increase; the label's warning signs and missed-dose rule are on the same sheet.

What the Mounjaro label reports
- In two placebo-controlled adult trials, vomiting was reported by 5% on 5 mg, 5% on 10 mg and 9% on 15 mg, against 2% on placebo.[1]
- Most reports of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea came during dose escalation and decreased over time.[1]
- Vomiting and diarrhea can cause dehydration, which can lead to kidney problems; drinking fluids helps lower that chance.[1]
- A missed dose can be taken within 4 days (96 hours); after that, skip it and inject on your regular day.[1]
Do not wait for the next appointment
- Severe stomach pain that will not go away, with or without vomiting: stop Mounjaro and call your healthcare provider right away.[1]
- Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea that does not go away: tell your healthcare provider right away.[1]
Before the next dose increase
- Should I stay on this dose for longer before going up?
- Which anti-sickness medicine can I use, and how often?
- If vomiting makes me miss an injection, what should I do?
- Should any of my other medicines be paused while I cannot keep fluids down?
- What would make this a same-day problem?
