When a delivery arrives
- Cold packs still cold, or the condition noted
- Photos of the box and packing if anything looks wrong
- Into the fridge straight away, away from the freezer section and the door
- Delivery date written on each carton
- Liquid clear and colorless to slightly yellow, with no particles
Set it aside and call the pharmacy
- It has been frozen, even if it has thawed since.[1]
- The liquid is cloudy, discolored beyond slightly yellow, or has particles.[1]
- A single-dose pen or vial has passed 21 days in total out of the fridge.[1]
For the pharmacy or the manufacturer
- Is there a replacement route for a shipment that arrived warm?
- Which date counts as first use for my KwikPen or multi-dose vial?
- Can deliveries be timed so cartons do not sit outside for hours?
